Are you an experienced Hair and Media Makeup professional with a passion for teaching? We are looking for a Lecturer in Hair and Media (Maternity Cover) to join our client's team in Rotherham.

In this role, you will deliver Hair and Media Makeup courses from Level 1 to Level 3, including evening and weekend courses, as well as competition work. Your duties will include lesson planning, marking, and internal quality assurance across all levels of Hair and Media Makeup.

You will play a key role in equipping students with skills for their future, contributing to the College’s outstanding provision in this high-demand area. If you are motivated, creative, and committed to high-quality teaching, we would love to hear from you.

• Deliver high-quality teaching in Hair and Media Makeup (Levels 1-3).
• Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work, ensuring high standards.
• Take part in evening and weekend teaching, as well as competition work.
• Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning.
• Monitor and track learner progress to promote positive outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share good practices and enhance student learning experiences.
• Report regularly on student recruitment, retention, attendance, and achievement.
• Support students in achieving their qualifications and career goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Hair and Media Makeup (Degree qualification desirable).
• Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification.
• Assessor’s Award qualification.
• IQA qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• GCSE grade 1-4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Teaching experience in Hair and Media Makeup.
• Industry experience in the hair and media makeup sector.
• Experience working with VTCT awarding body (desirable).
