Join us as a Curriculum Manager, where you’ll lead one of our campuses in curriculum development, industry engagement, and strategic planning. Your focus will be to shape an innovative curriculum that aligns with local skills priorities, drives student success, and strengthens connections with local employers and authorities to promote economic growth.

In this key role, you'll guide and inspire curriculum teams to deliver high-quality learning experiences that prepare students for meaningful careers. You'll support the Senior Leadership Team in creating a curriculum that meets both learner needs and local job market demands while developing programmes and projects that reflect current industry standards and future trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Curriculum Development: Oversee the design, planning, and implementation of a curriculum that meets regional and commercial priorities, preparing learners for future workforce needs
  • Performance Management: Manage curriculum staff, ensuring high-quality teaching, learner engagement, and meeting college KPIs
  • Community and Employer Engagement: Establish strong links with local authorities, employers, and educational partners to create impactful work placements and clear progression paths
  • Operational Leadership: Direct daily operations for curriculum delivery, support quality improvement initiatives, and drive attendance and learner success metrics
  • Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with senior leaders on curriculum innovation, digital learning, and achieving financial targets for sustainable growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in managing a successful curriculum department with expertise in responding to emerging industry needs and technological advancements
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating teams to achieve exceptional results
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of fostering connections with community partners, employers, and industry stakeholders
  • A visionary with the skills to develop and implement strategic initiatives for curriculum excellence and learner recruitment

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in a relevant subject area or equivalent
    • Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE or equivalent
    • Management qualification or evidence of leadership development
  • Experience:
    • Proven leadership in curriculum management, ideally within a further education setting
    • Demonstrated success in curriculum planning, development, and delivery, including engagement with local employers and authorities
    • Experience managing teams with a track record of achieving high outcomes in learner success and progression
    • Strong knowledge of emerging employment trends and ability to integrate them into curriculum planning
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to influence both internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to manage a demanding workload, remain calm under pressure, and support staff in overcoming challenges
    • Proven capability to implement and monitor curriculum strategies to meet quality and performance targets
