We are seeking a dedicated HSE Manager to implement and oversee health, safety and environmental policies within an industrial / manufacturing setting. This pivotal role demands a focus on promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Our client is a well-established organisation within the industrial / manufacturing industry. They are a medium-sized family run company based in Rotherham, recognised for their commitment to staff development and their unwavering focus on safety and environmental responsibility.

Description

As the HSE Manager your responsibilities will be;

  • Develop and implement the company's health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Engage with the staff across the site to build a positive safety culture and gain buy in.
  • Provide staff training on health, safety and environmental practices.
  • Conduct Toolbox talks, Site walk arounds, and adopt a hands on approach to HSE.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
  • Prepare detailed reports on HSE performance.
  • Evaluate and update emergency response procedures as needed

Profile

A successful HSE Manager should have:

  • A strong educational background in Manufacturing, Warehousing or Logistics
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a similar sector
  • NEBOSH OR IOSH certificate is desirable
  • An in-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards risk management
