Description
As the HSE Manager your responsibilities will be;
- Develop and implement the company's health, safety and environmental policies.
- Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Engage with the staff across the site to build a positive safety culture and gain buy in.
- Provide staff training on health, safety and environmental practices.
- Conduct Toolbox talks, Site walk arounds, and adopt a hands on approach to HSE.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legislation.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Prepare detailed reports on HSE performance.
- Evaluate and update emergency response procedures as needed
Profile
A successful HSE Manager should have:
- A strong educational background in Manufacturing, Warehousing or Logistics
- Proven experience in a similar role within a similar sector
- NEBOSH OR IOSH certificate is desirable
- An in-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards risk management
