Reed HR are supporting a charity in Rotherham to recruit a HR Manager on a Permanent, part-time (26 hours over 4 days) basis.

Job Purpose:

Are you passionate about human resources and looking for a part-time role where you can make a real impact? Reed HR are seeking an experienced HR Manager for a charity in Rotherham to lead the HR function, ensuring the policies, procedures, and practices comply with legislation and best practice. You will manage recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee relations, contributing to the development of the HR strategy and producing HR management information for future planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the HR team.
  • Stay updated with employment legislation and recommend policy updates.
  • Provide training and coaching for managers.
  • Advise on terms and conditions of employment.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Identify and coordinate training and development needs.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure data protection compliance.
  • Advise on disciplinary, grievance, and restructuring matters.
  • Manage sickness absence and liaise with Finance on payroll and pensions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Essential:

  • HR qualification and membership of a professional body.
  • Management-level HR experience.
  • Experience in staff supervision and managing multiple work-streams.
  • Strong employee relations experience.
  • Knowledge of employment regulations and legislation.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel.

Desirable:

  • Degree-level education.
  • Experience in training design and delivery.
  • Experience in the charity or social care sector.
