Maintenance Fitter (Onsite) (Heavy Material Handling - Crushers, Conveyors, Bulk Materials)Location- Rotherham

This award-winning business, recently highly commended in the "New Business Award" category, is expanding its team and seeking a Maintenance Engineer/ Fitter to support its continued growth.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a recognised industry leader in a role focused on maintaining and servicing heavy material handling equipment. You’ll spend 90% of your time on-site and 10% in mobile operations, ensuring equipment is running optimally while minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy mobile plant machinery, including crushers, mobile screens, and conveyor systems.
  • Set up, manage, and execute preventative maintenance schedules for internal and external equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in heavy machinery.
  • Manage spare parts inventories to ensure timely availability for maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards in all maintenance activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in heavy material handling or a similar industry.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with crushers, mobile screens, and conveyors.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective servicing and preventative maintenance systems.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Independent problem-solver with a proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a heavy industry or material handling environment.
