Purchasing and Stock Administrator

Salary: Circa £25k per annum dependent on skills and experience

About the Role:

Join Nicky Story Holdings (part of Supplies for Candles), a fast-growing leader in the Home Lifestyle and Personal Care sectors. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing and Stock Administrator to support our Purchasing Manager. In this role, you will be key in managing product orders, ensuring stock availability, and contributing to the success of multiple business divisions.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate supplier deliveries. 
  • Resolve order discrepancies and update systems regularly. 
  • Manage freight tracking, packaging requirements, and stock levels. 
  • Work with suppliers to negotiate prices and arrange shipping. 
  • Collaborate with marketing, warehouse, and other teams to address stock-related issues. 
  • Maintain records and provide purchasing data for planning across departments. 
  • Ensure adherence to legal and ethical procurement standards. 
  • Track and manage cost-saving initiatives, quotes, and budgeting.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation skills to improve margins and product performance. 
  • Highly organised with at least 1 year of purchasing experience, ideally in a fast-paced, e-retail environment. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Team player with excellent communication and attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in time management and Excel/office software. 
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems a plus.
