This is a full-time, permanent position, making it a great opportunity for someone eager to become a key player within an established and ever-growing law firm.Key Responsibilities:As a Legal Secretary/Assistant within the Commercial Property team, your key duties will include:Secretarial Support: Providing efficient secretarial assistance, including audio typing and producing a range of legal documents such as contracts, leases, and correspondence. Document Preparation: Ensuring all legal documents are prepared accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to the firm's high standards of quality. Client File Management: Setting up new client files, maintaining accurate records, and managing case files, including managing and updating case management systems. Diary Management: Assisting with diary management, scheduling meetings, and managing appointments for fee earners within the team. Client Correspondence: Communicating effectively with clients, handling inquiries, and providing professional support throughout the duration of the case. Lease Documentation: Managing and preparing lease documents, coordinating with relevant parties, and ensuring all aspects are accurately documented. Land Registry Searches: Carrying out land registry searches and maintaining appropriate documentation for property transactions. Liaison with Third Parties: Corresponding with external parties, such as landowners, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders, to facilitate smooth transactions. General Administrative Support: Assisting with general office duties, filing, and ensuring that the office runs smoothly in a fast-paced environment. The Ideal Candidate:To succeed in this role, you should have a keen interest in the legal field and possess the following skills and experience:Previous Legal Experience: You will ideally have previous experience as a legal secretary, particularly within commercial property law or residential conveyancing, though candidates with other relevant legal experience will also be considered.
