Rotherham Council is seeking an experienced Transport Services Manager to oversee the delivery of transport solutions, primarily focusing on Home to School Transport for young people requiring support. This interim role is crucial for managing a busy team and ensuring effective service delivery from one of the Council's operational depots.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee the delivery of Home to School Transport services, ensuring efficient and safe transport solutions for young people.
- Manage and lead a busy team, providing guidance, support, and direction to enhance service delivery.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to address and resolve key issues related to transport services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Be present at the Council's operational depot in Hellaby, Rotherham, for a minimum of three days per week, with a preference for a full-time presence.
- Significant experience in managing transport services, particularly those involving support for young people.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and key issues associated with delivering transport services.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
