Mechanical Design Engineer

H9 Technical are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer for an innovative client operating within the clean technology sector.

This is a contract role (outside IR35) for an initial period expected to be a minimum of 3-6 months.

This role will be focused around the design and development of a state of the art new process production plant, with good potential for future work.

This is a hybrid role with some working required from our clients head office in Rotherham and the rest from home.

You should be a highly competent user of Solidworks 3D CAD software and available to start at relatively short notice.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform general design work including ISO drawings, plant layout, piping ISO's, general layout and piping design.
• Interact with wider engineering department to update on project progress and overcome issues
• Very occasional site travel may be required as project develops to assess designs and provide support to project delivery team

Experience:

• 5+ years solidworks 3D CAD experience
• Mechanical engineering qualification (degree preferred but not essential)
• Transferrable experience from other process plant, pipework design projects
• Strong communication skills
