GI Group are seeking to appoint a Duty Officer to join our client's Sports Centre Team. The Duty Officer will be responsible for the operational day to day activities of the Sports Centre whilst on duty. This will include customer service, Health and Safety and management of bookings.

Main Duties of the Duty Officer:

  • Support and encourage the growth of participation through the services, activities and standards of customer care provided by the Sports facility.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and operation of the Sports facility.
  • To be responsible for the development and maintenance of a highly motivated, performing, and efficient team.
  • Plan, monitor and meet targets for sales, programming, and activities so that facilities and income are maximised.
  • Operate and maintain a system of quality control which ensures that the service provision, presentation and maintenance of facilities and equipment are consistently to the highest standard.

Role Criteria:

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Sports or Leisure related qualification or a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
  • Experience of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a sports and leisure centre environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly as the role involves working evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
