We are seeking a dedicated Driver to operate a variety of service delivery vehicles and assist in diverse operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in transporting goods, conveying customers, and handling specialist vehicles. The successful candidate will ensure vehicle safety, perform daily checks, and engage in customer service activities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Operate service delivery vehicles such as lorries, ensuring adherence to schedules and maintaining safety standards.
  • Transport goods, vulnerable adults, and other customers as required.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints, ensuring satisfactory outcomes.
  • Supervise other operatives, trainees, and volunteers, allocating and overseeing their work.
  • Report any accidents, damage to property, or environmental issues encountered during operations.
  • Participate in and coordinate campaigns, events, and initiatives related to the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Category C licence / Class 2 with driver CPC.
  • Experience in driving service delivery vehicles and working on public highways.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and environmental issues.
  • Proven ability to supervise and allocate work to staff.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of handling different points of view and persuading others.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond independently to unexpected problems.
  • NQF Level 3 qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience is preferred.
