Year 4 Teacher

  • Job Type: Full-time until February half-term, then Part-time until Christmas

We are seeking a qualified Year 4 Teacher to join a two-form entry school within a multi-academy trust located in Thurnscoe. This role offers a supportive and lovely environment, starting full-time from January until the February half-term, then transitioning to two days a week until Christmas.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards and the needs of Year 4 students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, preparing reports and communicating with parents and guardians as necessary.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to foster a creative and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school’s community spirit.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically with Year 4 or similar age groups.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage classrooms and promote good behaviour.
  • Experience working with SEN students is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
