Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an innovative food manufacturer going through an exciting period of growth to recruit a Production Shift Manager to be based at their Rotherham facility.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Hours: Monday – Friday 6:00 – 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00 weekly rotation

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Shift Manager will provide effective leadership for all on-shift teams, accountable for delivering against all manufacturing KPI’s across safety, quality, performance, delivery, and cost.

Duties of the Shift Manager include:

  • Lead and improve standards of quality, food safety & hygiene within Production areas
  • Lead and coach all team members, including identifying and driving training and development
  • Proactively drive and promote a strong people focused culture, whilst delivering results
  • Utilise lean tools and techniques to lead shift performance, identify root causes for losses, develop and agree corrective actions
  • Plan and organise labour to ensure production targets are reached
  • Promote a safety first culture, promptly addressing any Health & Safety issues or concerns

We are looking to speak with Production Shift Managers with the below skills/experience:

  • Previous experience within food manufacturing
  • Experience implementing new lines would be advantageous
  • Experience leading teams in high-volume environments
  • Thrives under pressure and is results-orientated
  • Good attention to detail coupled with the ability to work at a fast pace
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate at all levels
  • Self-motivated with effective problem solving skills
  • Flexible attitude to work – ability to adapt to changing demands and requirements

This role would suit Production Shift Managers who have enthusiasm and passion for leading and developing a team, with a continuous improvement mindset and can identify opportunities for improvement across the shift.
