We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join a thriving manufacturing business based in Rotherham. This is a fantastic chance to play a pivotal role in driving operational success, ensuring production targets are met, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Shift Pattern: Mornings & Afters – with flexibility to cover all other shift patterns during peak periods

Key Responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager:

  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance
  • Oversee the daily operations of your shift, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Monitor and report on production KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments, including planning, quality, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations
  • Troubleshoot production issues promptly, minimising downtime and ensuring a ‘right first time’ approach

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong people management skills with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S)
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a high-pressure environment
  • A focus on health, safety, and quality standards
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns and adapt to business needs
