Title: Senior BuyerLocation: RotherhamSalary: TBCElevation Recruitment Group's Procurement & Supply Chain division are working with a global manufacturer based in Rotherham in their search for a Senior Buyer. The Senior Buyer will work alongside the Procurement Manager to manage the organisation’s indirect spend across a range of categories including but not limited to PPE, workwear, stationery, facilities management and more. Alongside joining a supportive Manager, the Senior Buyer will receive a flexible working arrangement as well as:

Key duties of the Buyer will include: 

  • RFIs, RFQs, contract and supplier management while managing the full procurement cycle
  • Engaging with project and engineering teams to communicate and improve delivery schedules
  • Leading negotiations and establishing frameworks to improve cost saving
  • Working cross-functionally with business units to improve processes and update systems accordingly
  • Managing supplier performance and reporting to internal stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment desirable
  • CIPS, or studying towards, will be advantageous
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and engage with various business units
  • A problem-solving mindset with strategic thinking and planning capabilities
  • A proactive approach to suggesting and implementing process improvements
