Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of commercial flooring projects. You will oversee cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. Your role will involve working closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for commercial flooring projects.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Analyse and evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage contract negotiations.
  • Track project costs and handle any financial variations or claims.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any financial issues or discrepancies.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the commercial flooring or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, cost management software).
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., degree in Quantity Surveying) and membership with professional bodies (e.g., RICS) are advantageous but not essential.
