Up to £28k Full Time, Permanent  Rotherham, S63 Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a successful business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a part time Finance Assistant into their team on a permanent basis. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily recording of bank receipts & payments
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts including foreign currency bank accounts
  • Responsible for the purchase order process including creating and sending purchase orders to suppliers
  • Matching good receipts and deliveries to PO’s and investigating where necessary
  • Processing of purchase invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Processing of customer sales invoices
  • Credit control, including chasing of debts
  • Reconciliation and postings of expense claims
  • Posting of journal entries
  • Assisting with the month end reporting
  • Updating and reconciliation of the fixed asset register
  • Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing the VAT returns
  • Assist with the production of monthly payroll
  • Support the finance manager in any other tasks as reasonably required

Personal Specification

  • AAT or equivalent (desired)
  • Previous experience of working in a similar finance/accounts role
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment (desired)
  • Previous experience of Xero (desired)
  • Confident in using Microsoft software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Ability to communicate across various departments
  • Self-starter and proactive team player
  • Analytical mindset
  • Reliable and trustworthy
