Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a number of Secondary Academies based in Rotherham who are looking to engage regular cover supervisor support over the next academic year. This role would be perfect for a graduate who is considering going on to complete Teacher training, or an experienced Cover Supervisor.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate who is confident and resilient, has the ability to command a room and deliver instructions, and the confidence to manage low level behaviours in line with school behaviour management policies. Empowering Learning Ltd will support and guide you with access to market leading continuous professional development, and a designated consultant with firm relationships across Sheffield Secondary Schools.

The job

  • The schools are looking for someone who is passionate about education and working with children to provide the very best opportunity for students across the school.
  • In this exciting role, you will deliver pre-set work from the subject specialist teacher with timings and tasks to be completed throughout the lesson.
  • You will be expected to manage low level behaviours in line with school behaviour policy, and escalate to internal teams any unmanageable behaviours.
  • You will be responsible for recording attendance, and logging any praise or negative feedback on students engagement and behaviours throughout the lesson.

The successful candidate will

  • Ideally be degree qualified, or have a good level of education with experience as a Cover Supervisor.
  • Have a resilient and productive personal mindset.
  • Be confident with addressing behaviours of students (training will be provided)
  • Follow policies and procedures outlined by the school.
