Tradewind is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Rotherham to recruit a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology (DT) Teacher for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) to join a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in Design & Technology
  • Plan and assess a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Foster a creative, supportive, and challenging learning environment to help students achieve their potential
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills across various aspects of DT, including product design, resistant materials, and graphic design
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote and improve the overall DT curriculum
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge in all areas of DT, with the ability to teach across Key Stages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for fostering creativity and technical skills in young learners
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best
