About the Role

As a KS5 Social Sciences Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across multiple subjects within the Social Sciences field, inspiring and supporting students in their academic and personal development. You will play a vital role in helping students succeed in their A-Level and BTEC qualifications, preparing them for further education or career paths in psychology, sociology, health and social care, and child development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care, and Child Development.
  • Supporting and assessing students in their academic progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Developing resources and schemes of work tailored to the curriculum.
  • Engaging with students, colleagues, and parents to create a positive and dynamic learning environment.
  • Preparing students for exams and assessments, ensuring they meet or exceed their target grades.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with experience teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering A-Level and BTEC courses in Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care, and Child Development.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 5 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • A proactive and adaptable teaching style with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
