Location: Rotherham / Worksop

Salary: £12.46 per hour

Hours: Various hours available on a casual basis, as and when required Starting end of August 2025 (Term Time Only)

The Role

In this rewarding role, you will provide in class/out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes. This may be supporting with personal care and/or literacy and numeracy. You will be a key part of the Student Support team, and will assist in the planning, preparation & reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff, providing feedback and carrying out reviews as appropriate to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.

You will have the personal skills to be able to effectively support students, dealing with challenging behaviour when it arises, and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience supporting students in an educational setting
  • Experience or/and knowledge of SEND, ALS and EHCP’s.
  • GCSE A-C in English & Maths or be prepared to work towards
  • Be flexible and reliable
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good IT skills specifically Microsoft and Google Packages
