Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

Location: South Yorkshire

Pay: £22,900 (£11,450 pro-rata) per annum

Duration: Part-Time, Permanent

Reed - Further Education are looking for a motor vehicle technician to work in the MV workshop which will involve supporting students and staff in workshop sessions and providing technical services.

What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a Motor Vehicle Technician?

  • You will support staff and students in the workshop.
  • You will use your knowledge and experience to help improve college processes in the workshop.
  • You will provide technical assistance and advice by taking an active role in supporting academic staff and students.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Have experience working within the Motor Vehicle Industry
  • Ideally have experience working with young people (post 16)
  • Level 1 or higher in Motor Vehicle or equivalent.
  • Ideally have a H&S and First Aid qualifications.
  • Knowledge of current policies and health and safety laws for workshops and colleges.
  • GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate including knowledge of coding/programming. Also word processing, spreadsheets and databases i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Google platforms
