RES Community Lecturers - Creative Writing (including Family Literacy)

Location: Rotherham

Salary: £18.87 - £19.80 per hour plus holiday pay (dependant on Teaching Qualification)

Hours: Temporary starting April 2025 (8-12 week courses) 6 hours per week

The Role

They're seeking an experienced Tutor to join their growing Community provision. You'll facilitate adult and family learning groups, driving learner progress and success. Experience training both employed and unemployed learners is essential, along with the ability to motivate and provide support to overcome barriers to achievement.

In this role you can influence and contribute towards the College's provision in this key area. You will have the opportunity not only to impart your writing knowledge and expertise to adult learners, but ultimately will make an impact on the wider community.

The successful candidates will deliver quality teaching and facilitate the learning process for students, appropriate to the curriculum element of their course. The creative writing courses will take place in the community venues and/or college either days, evenings or weekends according to the needs of specific classes.

The teaching would be in for 6 hours per week, days and times agreed with the right candidate.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You will have experience of teaching Creative Writing to adults
  • You will have experience teaching both employed and unemployed learners
  • You will hold a teaching qualification or be working towards one
  • You will be well organised and able to manage your own workload
