We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of freight.

This is a Monday to Friday role with 1 in 3 Saturdays. Start times are around 0600.

This role can a be a temporary on going role or Temp to Perm depending on the candidates preference.

This isn't a multi drop role, however drivers will do 2 runs per shift.

Duties

  • Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid class 1 licence with CPC and Digi card
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • A clean driving record is preferred, demonstrating responsible driving behaviour.
