Database Developer - Oracle PL/SQL
Hybrid Working: 3 Days in Office per week (2 days WFH)

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing and maintaining database applications and a solid drive to create efficient and reliable solutions. The database tech stack here is predominantly Oracle PL/SQL but some SQL Server T-SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain database applications using Oracle PL/SQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and architect solutions
  • Optimise database queries and code for performance and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly
  • Ensure data security and integrity within the applications
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database application development

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
  • Proficiency with database design and optimisation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology is a plus

Day-to-Day

  • Collaborating with team members to gather and understand application requirements
  • Writing and optimising PL/SQL code for various database functions
  • Testing and debugging applications to ensure functionality and performance
  • Communicating with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement changes
  • Researching and implementing best practices for database application development
