Working Hours: 8.30am – 5pm (Mon – Fri)

 

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic Credit Control team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of business processes.

 

Purpose of a Cash and Banking Controller:

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage day-to-day cash receivables, ensuring that daily receipts are accurately posted, allocated, and recorded. You will provide essential support to the sales team by updating them on payments received throughout the day, while also addressing customer inquiries related to cash receipts.

 

Key Responsibilities of a Cash and Banking Controller:

  • Download and validate daily cash sheets, posting cash batches to ensure all receipts are accurately recorded.
  • Contact customers to resolve issues related to payments received without remittance advices, documenting any verbal allocations for internal records.
  • Identify and detail duplicate or unallocated cash items on customer accounts.
  • Process refund requests, ensuring all information is validated and escalating to the Credit Manager for approval.
  • Update the discount spreadsheet daily and reconcile at month-end for reporting purposes.
  • Post debit notes to the relevant accounts, coordinating with the Credit Controller and Query Resolution Assistant for follow-up.
  • Contribute to team efficiency by raising any issues to the Team Leader and Manager, and offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist in other departmental tasks as required.
  • Achieve individual, team, and departmental KPIs and targets.
  • Maintain prompt and accurate record-keeping.
  • Identify and escalate credit risk issues promptly.

 

Key Skills & Attributes of a Cash and Banking:

  • Minimum of 1 years experience in Credit Control
  • Minimum of 1 years experience of Cash & Banking
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Persuasive with a track record of influencing outcomes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Dynamics).
