The Opportunity:Newly created role - Finance Business Partner opportunity based in Middlesbrough.Reporting into the Finance Controller and working alongside 2 other Finance Business Partners.A "one stop shop" for logistics and transport, this business has gone through a massive period of change.Group turnover of circa £30million they are keen for a proactive, strong communicator to join their team.Duties/Responsibilities:As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:The key aspects of the role include:•    Acting as a Lead Accountant for business area. Building relationships with subsidiary managers to become the first point of contact for any financial matters.•    Review of Financial procedures of subsidiary departments looking to streamline processes to im-prove the accuracy and timeliness of data.•    Ensuring robust internal controls are in place across subsidiary departments.•    Preparing reports for Financial Strategy reviews with operational areas and the board. •    Understanding what the strategy is of such operations and how we can drive these from a Finan-cial perspective.•    To support the FD/FM in ensuring that the month end accounts are produced accurately and by relevant deadlines.•    Produce and manage accounts by preparing relevant journals across the group.•    Overseeing the revenue analysis for assigned subsidiaries ensuring it is accurate and reconciled.•    Review of the weekly payment run for assigned subsidiaries.•    Monthly expenditure reviews with Managers.•    Assist in the budget setting process, partnering with managers that fall under your remit as lead accountant. Seek updated forecasts on a quarterly basis.•    Oversee Financial integrity of the ledgers through a formal Balance Sheet reconciliation process.•    Continually looking to improve Financial Processes. •    Assist members of the Finance team with queries and providing cover where necessary.•    Compiling and preparing management KPI’s accurately, ready for distribution to managers for re-view.•    Prepare short narrative of Financial performance on a monthly basis following brief reviews with managers.•    Assist with Credit Control queries for assigned subsidiaries.•    To assist in the preparation of the Group VAT return.Benefits include:As the Finance Business Partner, you will be entitled to a superb benefits package including:
