Your new company·This STEM sector global organisation has a need for a qualified Accountant to join the team as Financial Accountant at their Teesside operation.Your new roleWorking as part of a Finance Team supporting the Business Controller, your responsibilities will include:Month EndPrepare accruals & prepaymentsPosting journalsBalance sheet reconciliationsReconciliation of Management Accounts to Group ReportingManage and review bank reconciliation process, including fact flowRun weekly and monthly debtor & creditor reportsEnsure that credit checks are carried out on all potential customers and update credit limits Monitor customer accounts and chase for payment of overdue invoicesDrive monthly cost centre manager meetings to provide guidance and support on controlling spendProvide weekly cash position forecast summary to GroupControl and update IFRS16 Reporting in Group Consolidation SystemReconcile and reporting Intercompany transactions in Group Consolidation SystemQuarterlyPrepare & submit quarterly VAT returnsPrepare quarterly covenant information for lendersAnnuallyProvision and consolidation of information for the annual budget processCoordinate the annual budget processPrepare draft and final annual corporation tax packsProvide accurate and timely information to external auditorsPeopleDirect management of finance apprentice - development planning & mentoringAdhocSupport queries from Group & Business ControllerWhat you'll need to succeed ACCA / ACA QualifiedProven track record within a similar roleAdvanced Excel skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Navision (ERP) would be an advantageWhat you'll get in returnThis is an exciting time to join this successful global operation.
