About the Role:

The Cared for Children's Team works with children and young people who are currently in our care, helping to support them and their families through some of life's most challenging circumstances. • Oversee care planning for children, ensuring their needs are met and that they have the best possible opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including families, fostering agencies, and other support services.

  • Hybrid Working - service dependent, offering flexibility.
  • Generous Annual Leave - starting from 26 days and rising to 31 days after 5 years' service, plus paid bank holidays (combined value of almost £6,000).
  • Pension Scheme - employer pension contributions of 11.5%, equivalent to over £5,000 annually.
  • Death in Service - lump sum of 3.5 times your annual salary.
  • Sick Pay - up to 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay for sickness absence, providing financial assurance during difficult times.
  • Family-Friendly Policies - generous leave entitlements and paid discretionary leave.
  • Additional Benefits - access to salary sacrifice schemes for electric cars and bikes, and discounts at high street stores.
  • Professional Development - full support to grow in your career with training and learning opportunities.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A qualified and experienced social worker with management experience in a children's social care setting.
  • Someone who is passionate about safeguarding and improving the outcomes of children and young people in care.
  • A strong leader with the ability to inspire and manage a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in care planning and working with families, foster carers, and external agencies to deliver the best outcomes.
