Technical Project Engineer – Middlesbrough
My client is a bulk liquid storage provider operating terminals strategically placed across the UK. They currently require a project engineerto be based permanently at their site in Middlesbrough.
Role:
- Oversee multi-disciplined contract engineers who conduct engineering activities.
- Manage engineering projects as required by the business including; the production of design calculations, drawings, specifications, programmes and budgets, procurement, installation and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with procurement, management of change and commissioning and handover procedures.
- Ensure that all work is safely executed and in full compliance with company standards and UK/European legislation.
- Assist the project manager in technical aspects of Sustaining (M&R) and growth CAPEX project development and delivery.
- Lead the management of projects assigned by the PMO/PM.
- Ensure the safe delivery of projects that meet agreed objectives and key results, within authorised budgets and to agreed schedules.
- Ensure engineering and project management procedures are followed.
- Timely and accurate development of project proposals in response to commercial enquiries.
- Available on mobile to provide engineering advice 24/7.
- Attend site out of hours for critical project activities.
- Any other tasks that may arise in the day-to-day functionality of this position.
- Ensure suitable input received from terminal management team for all engineering and maintenance work.
Requirements:
- Experience working in project teams within process, chemical or petrochemical and COMAH sites.
- A relevant engineering degree or similar.
- External accreditation with a recognised project management methodology - PMP/Prince 2 (desirable)
Salary/Package:
- £55k per annum DOE
- Pension 5% (you) - 9% (employer)
- 25 days + 8 BHs annual leave increasing by one day per service.
- Life Assurance x 4 annual salary.
- Christmas bonus - 1 week salary.
