A great opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly regarded manufacturing organisation based in Teesside.
Your new role
Responsibility for continued operation/upkeep of existing IT infrastructure systems, solutions implementation and project work, and provision of day-to-day IT support.

  • Takes responsibility for all aspects of IT data security and enforces industry standard best practises where appropriate.
  • Responsibility for the continued running and upkeep of the on-site and hosted servers providing IT services to the business. Scope includes security, maintenance and depreciation planning.
  • Responsibility for the running and upkeep of all aspects of the onsite network. Scope includes capacity and traffic management, security, redundancy and auditing.
  • Responsibility for disaster recovery and backup solution management to include backup integrity verification and validation.
  • Identifies and proposes solutions to streamline processes and bring efficiencies and cost savings to the business.
  • Delivers in-person and remote 1st/2nd line support to users within the business
  • Takes responsibility for Asset and Licence tracking
  • Creates and updates reference documentation for systems and processes
  • Takes ownership over project work and contractor management
  • Ensures that procedures are followed, particularly those relating to safety and security
  • Works with Group IT and third parties to resolve issues and facilitate outcomes
  • Provides training and guidance where required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong Windows server administration skills
  • Strong network administration skills - wired and Wireless
  • Strong troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
  • Microsoft Azure/365/Exchange administration experience
  • Software deployment and Group Policy experience
  • Information Security best practises
  • Virtualisation experience
  • Backup systems experience
