Contracts Manager – North East
I am looking for a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee multiple residential housing projects across the Teesside, Newcastle, Durham, and Scarborough regions. The role involves managing groundworks packages for projects valued between £3 million and £5 million. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and an opportunity to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the successful delivery of multiple residential projects, ensuring they meet time, budget, and quality expectations.
• Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts. Ensure that all contractual obligations are met by both the company and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs and budgets, identifying any potential financial risks and implementing solutions to mitigate them.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns or changes.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently. Manage the procurement of materials and services.
• Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations, as well as any relevant legislation or industry standards.
Requirements:
• Extensive experience as a Contracts Manager, preferably within residential housing and groundworks sectors.
• SMSTS certification is required. First Aid certification is preferable.
• Strong financial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility to travel and manage projects across Teesside, Newcastle, Durham, and Scarborough.
