We are recruitng an LEV Tecnician on behalf of our Client who are an HVAC Engineering company who design, manufacture and install HVAC Solutions for projects world-wide
- As an LEV Technician you will be reporting to the Local Exhaust Ventilation Team Leader on all matters to operational matters, regulatory and statutory compliance
- You will be responsible for carrying out a range of technical and engineering duties related to the maintained of Local Exhaust Ventilation equipment and facilities contract wide.
- To perform thorough Examination and Testing on Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems and to provide a high level of technical support on systems such as Fume Cupboards, Biological Safety Cabinets, and other similar bench top LEV systems.
- Responsible for carrying out a range of technical and engineering duties related to the maintenance and testing of LEV equipment and facilities contract wide.
- Work is be carried with accordance with schedules generated by site engineering planning LEV coordinator once process supervisor and laboratory users agree a program of work.
- Testing and maintenance work on LEV equipment and services, appropriate level of skill
- To carry out the duties of the single skilled technician in the discipline for which craft competency is held.
- To take the lead in specific jobs and to direct other technicians or contractors
- To investigate, diagnose and rectify faults to a proven level of competency.

The Successful Candidate:
- Be able to achieve high levels of operational performance. Minimum of at least 3 year'sexperience in a related industry, Perform DOP testing on all varieties of equipment
- On- site PM, Calibration, Repairs & surveys of LEV devices consisting mainly of Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC), AFOS ventilated tables, Protex ventilated workstations, fume cupboards, down flowbooths and insulators, KI Discus together with some miscellaneous LEV devices.
- Previous experience within the airflow industry (LEV or HVAC)
- Qualification within an engineering or scientific environment
- High skill level for practical fault-finding repair and replacement of parts on LEV systems
- Mechanically minded
- Skilled at assessing risk for all work-based activities
- P600, P601, P602, P603, P304. and P604 Certification required
