The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Quality Control Coordinator to join a Global EPC business, established in the Energy sector and Offshore installation.

Job Overview:

The candidate would be responsible for overseeing Onshore Subcontractors' scope and should have experience in direct pipe construction, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and onshore pipeline projects.

Assist in the implementation of Project Quality Management System (PQMS) activities.

  • Support the Project Quality Manager (PQM) in overseeing project quality control processes.
  • Provide the PQM with project-related quality data and reports in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site quality control matters and coordinate with external stakeholders.
  • Assist the Construction Site Manager in addressing quality-related contractual issues with the Client, both specific and ongoing.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Support the PQM in defining the Project Quality Control System and in identifying needed project quality control plans and QC procedures in accordance with the Company Quality Management System.
  • Support the PQM in planning and assigning QC Supervisors and Inspectors to various project areas, ensuring effective personnel coordination.
  • Review Quality Control Plans to confirm that tests, inspections, and controls are conducted in compliance with Inspection Test Plans, ensuring personnel have access to all necessary project documentation.
  • Identify any missing QC inspection instruments or equipment in comparison with applicable QC Plans, procedures, and contract requirements.
  • Check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections and agree on the applicable operating procedures with the organisation in charge of the works.
  • Ensure correct Site Materials storage, handling, traceability and preservation conditions, as well as conformity to applicable Certification Requirements.
  • Review applicable QC procedures, including those relating to special processes.
  • Check that material and equipment are correctly received, stored, identified, traceable, preserved and handled (if needed)
  • Verify the implementation of the inspection, control and test notification process.
  • Check documents certifying tests, controls and inspections carried out and their orderly collection and management, mechanical completion included.
  • Verify that contractors carry out tests, controls and inspections.
  • Verify the correct implementation and application of Quality Tools.

  • Provide specialist support to the PQM in interfacing with the Client and third parties.
  • Verify the correct application and, whenever necessary, update of site Quality Control Plans/procedures.

  • Verify proper Non-conformity detection and recording, as well as relevant corrective actions implementation.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Competent in standard office software, and engineering tools and applications.
  • Experience of working on Carbon Capture projects.
  • Experience working in a similar role: Onshore / EPC / Installation / Pipeline / direct pipe construction, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and onshore pipeline projects.
