Job Purpose

  • Manage a tax portfolio including all commercial aspects of portfolio management.
  • Undertake a range of tax assignments, including personal and corporation tax returns and computations, international and inheritance tax, national insurance, trusts and estates tax, and VAT.
  • Review computations prepared by junior staff with constructive feedback and identify training gaps.
  • Research and interpret changes to tax legislation, both UK and overseas.
  • Liaise with HMRC to negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Create tax strategies and plan their financial futures.
  • Undertake detailed computations to calculate tax liability and advising on how to minimise liability.
  • Build strong rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and resolving complex issues.
  • Champion professional development, undertaking regular training opportunities.

  • Qualified, part-qualified, or studying with recent experience within UK practice.
  • Qualified by experience would also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Track record of portfolio management, including monitoring and reporting on all commercial aspects.
  • Organised and able to manage own workload.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
