Overview:
Reporting into the Head of Ecology, the Senior Ecologist will provide strategy and guidance to the team, as well as be Client facing and hands-on to ensure a first-class service is delivered.The successful candidate will undertake ecological assessments and surveys for protected species and habitats in the UK nail community and network.
Duties will include:
- Undertake site visits to complete ecological assessments, including appraisals, protected species risk assessments, in accordance with industry legislation.
- Provide reports, documenting findings of completed surveys.
- Collect and analyse data.
- Provide ecological advice and guidance to Clients, consultants as required.
- Manage and mentor junior members of the Ecology Team.
- Provide high level technical reports to Directors.
The Successful Candidate:
- Will be able to demonstrate a robust knowledge of ecology and protected species in the UK through previous work experience.
- Have 5+ years experience in the commercial sector and ecology.
- Have an Ecology related degree or similar.
- Ideally (but not essential) be CIEEM
- Hold at least 2 Species Licences.
The WorkingWeek:
The role involves extensive remote working, including site visits and home working. There may also be requirement to work weekends and night shifts/weekends for which overtime is paid. This is a full-time/permanent position
