Overview:

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working exclusively with a manufacturing business in Teesside with the appointment of a Sales Coordinator. This is a manufacturing business who predominantly sell into the steel manufacturing, power generation, cement production and brickmaking industries.This is a brand-new position to the business as they look to increase sales. You will be reaching out to potential clients and qualifying them, being vigilant in asking the right questions and making sure you are able to partner together.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries and manage purchase/sales orders via various channels.
  • Track the sales pipeline and follow up on opportunities.
  • Coordinate sales meetings, presentations, and provide administrative support.
  • Research potential clients and competitors to inform sales strategies.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain an up-to-date sales database.
  • Oversee order processing, contract management, and report preparation.
  • Address product details, order changes, and resolve issues with cross-department collaboration.
  • Work with accounting on credit applications and payment terms.
  • Develop deep product knowledge and align sales activities with company goals.
  • Present strategies to management and travel as needed.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

  • Minium 3 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in waste, recycling and/or cement industry.
  • Outstanding written / verbal communication and computer skills. Including but not limited to Microsoft Office 365, Excel skills a plus along with any previous experience with ERP/CRM systems.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts in assigned international markets, including tradeshows, trade missions, and brand development.
