LV Logistics, Middlesbrough, currently have an opportunity for a Scandinavian Groupage Operator to join our dynamic team. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return will receive an attractive salary based on experience plus benefits including pension and bonus scheme.

LV Logistics are a market leader in the shipping and transport industry, with 11 UK offices and many others in strategic locations across the globe.

As our Scandinavian Operator you be handling daily airfreight tasks both import & export, including the raising of quotations, issuance of shipping documentation , processing customs clearances, invoicing clients and the passing of purchase invoices.

Your responsibilities as our Scandinavian Operator will include:

The ability to work in a demanding office environment and balance conflicting priorities to keep up with progressive deadlines.
Understanding and Coordinating groupage loads to maximise revenue and reduce costs.
Negotiating rates with hauliers and arranging collections to meet sailing deadlines.
Providing competitive quotations in a timely manner.
Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements and any packing specifications.
The creation of export and import declarations where appropriate.
Strong customer focus, with the ability to effectively communicate and approach all situations with a calm and sympathetic manner. Provide customers with accurate updates and deal with any customer queries/ complaints that may arise.
Maintaining customer and client relationships and ensuring an outstanding level of customer service is maintained at all times.
Carrying out any other reasonable task as may be allocated by line or senior manager.
At all times ensuring compliance to LV HSSQE systems and procedures. Ensure safety of yourself and others around you. Be aware of trade compliance regulations, multilateral trade regimes, dual use requirements, know your customer.
