We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in steel framing systems, particularly in light gauge steel, to join a reputable construction organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the successful delivery of projects through accurate and timely estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive estimates for projects involving steel framing systems and light gauge steel.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to understand scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for precise estimates.
  • Identify and quantify materials, labour, plant, and time requirements through thorough analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, ensuring timely delivery of quotations to clients.
  • Support junior estimators in their development, providing guidance and mentoring as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients throughout the tender process, addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving measures during the estimating phase.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction sector, specifically with steel framing systems and light gauge steel.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are preferred.
