As a Team Manager in our Cared for Children's team, you'll lead a dedicated group of professionals supporting vulnerable children who can't live with their families. Your leadership will ensure these children receive the care, stability, and hope they need to thrive, helping them build a brighter future. This is a role where your impact truly matters.

What is on offer?

  • Earn from £45,416, including a 15% market supplement.
  • Relocation support up to £8,000
  • Generous annual leave starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days after 5 years, plus paid bank holidays (combined equivalent value of nearly £6,000).
  • Employer contributions of 11.5% (worth over £5,000 annually), plus a death-in-service benefit of 3.5 times your salary.
  • Paid absence for sickness of up to 6 months full and 6 months half pay which can provide much needed assurance during difficult times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee the development, review, and implementation of care plans for children and young people in care, ensuring that all plans meet the individual needs and safeguard the welfare of the children.
  • Monitor safeguarding concerns across the team.
  • Regularly audit case files, assess the quality of work being delivered, and ensure that statutory visits, assessments, and reviews are completed within required timescales.
  • Provide effective supervision, guidance, and support to social workers and team members, ensuring they meet statutory requirements and deliver high-quality services to children and families.

Requirements:

  • Relevant social work qualification
  • 2 years relevant experience
