Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit an experienced system savvy Planning and Logistics Assistant for our client based in Middlesbrough.

Please note this role is initially an 18 month contract, with a view to a permanent role there on.

Main duties of the role:
Assist in the creation of 5 day fixed production across various divisions.
Ensuring all raw materials and packaging are available to complete all relevant orders for the required production deadlines.
Supply all relevant documentation and labels for the next day production plans
Plan daily loads efficiently by customer request dates. Creating daily dispatch plans, planning transport to dispatch orders efficiently.
Plan and participate in any stock taking requirements, working alongside team leaders and supervisors from each department, ensuring data is gathered.
Adhering to company policies and relevant legislation.
Provide suitable cover for other office based admin functions as and when required.

Essential skills:
Excellent computer skills
Operational planning knowledge
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Knowledge of controlling stocks
Experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Working hours 7am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour lunch break.
