However if you specialise in only one of these subjects, they can be split into 2 part time roles:

  • Physics Teacher - 22.2 hours per week
  • Engineering Teacher - 14.8 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Physics and Engineering sector.
  • Provide hands-on and theoretical instruction in specific areas.
  • Support students' academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
  • Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.

Requirements

  • Holds a minimum Level 3 Physics/Engineering qualification (Essential) or a relevant Degree, and GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Is a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards**.
  • Has current knowledge and experience in teaching Physics/Engineering
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.
  • Is proficient in preparing teaching materials using Information Learning Technology.
