As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic Pre-Enablement Team Manager to join our team in the Northeast (Teeside).

Role Purpose:

The Pre-Enablement Team Manager will oversee and coordinate pre-enablement activities to ensure all network build projects are efficiently planned, prepared, and executed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecoms, ideally with Virgin Media experience, and possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring all pre-construction requirements are completed effectively, minimizing delays and optimizing productivity in network delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate the Pre-Enablement team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Provide clear direction, support, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

    Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Oversee pre-enablement activities, including site surveys, permitting, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure readiness of project documentation, including job packs, permits, and wayleave agreements.
  • Collaborate with planning, design, and operations teams to resolve issues proactively.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the key point of contact between Avonline Networks, Virgin Media, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all client specifications and expectations are met during the pre-enablement phase.
  • Attend client and internal meetings to provide updates on pre-enablement progress.

    Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure all pre-enablement activities adhere to health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant regulations, including Streetworks and permitting legislation.
  • Conduct audits and quality checks on pre-enablement activities.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pre-enablement tasks.
  • Identify risks and issues early, providing solutions and escalating where necessary.
  • Produce detailed reports for senior management on project readiness and delivery status.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Pre-Enablement, Build Manager, or similar role within the telecoms sector.
  • Virgin Media experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of managing operational teams.
  • Solid understanding of permitting processes, wayleaves, and telecoms infrastructure build requirements.
  • Knowledge of Streetworks Legislation (NRSWA) and associated compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
