This role will see the successful candidate plan, conduct and oversee the testing of lifting appliances, bespoke parts and related equipment. The suitable candidate should have a good understanding of load testing and industry standards.

The Role:

  • Plan out tests for a range of lifting equipment, ensuring all checks are completed to industry and health and safety standards
  • Conduct capacity testing up to 3000 tonnes in tension and 2500 tonnes in compression
  • Accurately identify any potential failures or maintenance requirements and detail any findings in the post-test report
  • Complete the following methods of testing:
    • Proof load testing
    • Tensile testing
    • Destruction testing
    • Compression testing
    • Shear tests
    • Bending tests

The Person:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience with testing to BS EN 13155 and ISO 12482 standards
