About the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their growing team in a thriving industrial environment. The Production Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire production process, ensuring that all manufacturing operations run efficiently and meet project timelines and customer expectations.
Job PurposeAs the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring all operations are streamlined, and that the production line runs at optimal performance. This role involves leading the production team, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the entire production process, ensuring the timely completion of orders and high-quality output.
- Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer deadlines and ensure smooth workflows.
- Supervise production staff and provide leadership to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
- Coordinate with various departments (engineering, project management, etc.) to ensure resources, materials, and personnel are available as needed.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Ensure all production activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Continuously evaluate production processes and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of production progress, reports, and key performance indicators.
- Regularly update senior management on production performance, challenges, and achievements.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in production planning software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address operational challenges.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations in industrial settings.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
