We are seeking a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join our client's dedicated team in Middlesbrough. This role is ideal for someone eager to be at the forefront of the industry, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Design mechanical services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Prepare detailed design calculations for mechanical installations.
- Liaise with the full design/project teams to develop schemes that meet client requirements.
- Utilise AutoCAD and/or BIM software for design purposes.
- Conduct pipework design for general building services.
- Manage projects and oversee the installation of systems to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
- Design and oversee generator pipework installations.
- Estimate costs for mechanical installations and negotiate with subcontractors.
- Minimum of HNC in Mechanical/Building Services.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or BIM software is advantageous.
- Strong project management skills and experience in overseeing system installations.
- Knowledge of cost estimation and subcontractor negotiation.
