A SEN school in the Middlesbrough area with students from 4 years to 19 year olds require a support worker 8.00am till 16.00pm.

To support students with PMLD, ASC and SEMH in the classroom and in the community.

  • Experience with personal care, feeding, and changing students.
  • Trained in moving and handling.
  • Ability to work 1-on-1 and with groups of students.
  • Familiarity with Makaton (sign language system) and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) is preferred.
  • Experience in sensory play and experience of behaviours that challenge.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Relevant healthcare or teaching assistant (TA) qualifications.
  • A current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
