Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to oversee procurement and supply chain activities for diverse and impactful projects. This role involves ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services while implementing efficient procurement practices.

To succeed in this position, you should have strong procurement background, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact for procurement, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to project needs
  • Manage project requirements, ensuring adherence to processes and standards
  • Provide regular updates on procurement status and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Lead procurement decision-making and foster strong working relationships
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies across projects
  • Work effectively within a matrixed organisational structure

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in both operational and strategic procurement, ideally in large projects
  • Knowledge of procurement contracts and frameworks is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel as needed
