Reddbrick are recruiting for RegionalContractor with a proven track record of successfully deliveringconstruction projects across the North East. Currently, they are seeking a talented AssistantQuantity Surveyor to join their team and support projects throughout the region .

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role:

As an AssistantQuantity Surveyor, you will be amember of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

Assisting the project Quantity Surveyor with

  • Conducting comprehensive cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans
  • Supporting the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms
  • Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management
  • Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions
  • Suporting with the Preparationand submital ofmonthly reports on project financial performance
  • Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Relevantdegree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • A workingunderstanding offorms of construction contracts including JCT, NEC and D&B.
  • Experience of Apartments, Residential Apartments, High Rise Accomodation wouldbe of interest.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
