Purpose
The Maintenance Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating, producing and issuing a weekly schedule of planned preventative maintenance routines, defects and statutory inspections in line with site priorities.
This includes liaising with production plants throughout the site to ensure asset availability and schedule compliance as per set KPIs Â
The maintenance schedule will hold bi-weekly planning meetings for direct communication and transparency of maintenance scheduling and divert resource when applicable as site priorities change. The scheduler will work with the Maintenance Manager, Planner and Engineering department to develop a maintenance schedule and lookahead for maintenance activities and inspections, utilising the site CMMS planning system and Work Order system.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Key accountabilities
- Ensure optimum efficiency of assets by collaborating with maintenance operations and process teams to ensure business as usual and integration of expansion projects across the site.
- Ensure planned work as per the schedule is updated in the maintenance management system.
- Produce weekly maintenance schedule.
- Liaise with each production building to ensure equipment availability in good time ahead of planned maintenance.
- Facilitate and manage asset registration for all equipment on site implementing new items of equipment into the BMS System.
- Assist in establishing equipment strategies and maintenance routines based on OEM recommendations, reliability-based data and performance feedback from maintenance and operations teams and update the maintenance management system to reflect strategies/changes.
- Implement maintenance strategies into BMS system to support the company vision of continuous improvement.
- Work with maintenance and engineering to ensure spare items are correct for PM work and correct stock levels are held in the site engineering stores.
- Ensure checksheets are completed for each PM and stored correctly.
- Liaise with engineering and maintenance to maintain site preventative routines including the updating, creating, cancelling of routines and ensuring frequency is correct.
- Monitor and measure utilisation of craft teams to ensure cost effective use of resource
- Measure adherence of maintenance schedule as per KPIs and SOPs to achieve 80% planned activities
- Contribute to Site Shutdown and Plant Changeover schedule planning
SHEQ
- Participate in AINMs (Accident, Incident, Near Miss) reviews collating all pertinent date and assist in the evaluation of the safety status of the workshop.
- Participate in safety management related activities including routine plant safety.

- Develop and deliver engineering related KPIs and communicate this across the organisation.

- Communicate and coordinate with maintenance planner, engineering teams and production teams
- Maintain and deliver KPIs.
- Collaboration between all engineering disciplines and departments to collate asset documentation.
